I need some master bedroom ideas. How can I make it special?
There are plenty of ideas. Just take a look at what I’ve pulled together. Any one of these will get out started to create a room worthy of being called “master.”
With today’s busy life style, everyone needs a place to relax. The master bathroom can, and should be, one of those places. Master bathroom ideas for remodeling, with relaxation in mind, are as numerous as the minutes in a day. Remodeling a large or small bathroom is a great equity builder and, in the meantime, provides an enjoyable retreat. When creating your own special getaway, keep these master bathroom ideas in mind.
Mastering the Art of Design
Always consider the design flow when reflecting on master bathroom ideas. The master bathroom should be unified by the same style as the master bedroom. If the bedroom is finished in a modern style, the bathroom should continue that theme.
Adequate storage is always an important design element. Especially in a bathroom, lots of storage ensures a clutter-free environment. Make a list of all storage needs. The list should consist of linens, towels, toiletries, make-up, etc. Designing enough storage is easy when specific needs are established before planning begins.
Masterful Master Bathroom Materials
In today’s world the choices for finish materials are endless. There are pleasing finishes available for any style choice and budget. Bathrooms, of course, have special considerations, so some materials are just better than others are. Always consider durability and water resistant when choosing materials for the bath, but since we’re talking master bathroom ideas, there’s a certain amount of luxury expected, too.
Begin with solid surfaces for all countertops. Granite and marble are available in a large selection of color variations. There are also many affordable composite surfaces and even laminates that can achieve a lavish impression.
A bath or shower is an unparalleled way to relax. Choose a deep soaker tub as a central fixture in the room. Or install a shower with multiple shower heads. If budget and space allows, set up both to create more than one relaxation option.
Put in a towel warmer for a real splurge. Few things are more indulgent than drying off with a warm towel after a relaxing bath or shower.
Master Bathroom Ideas that are Extra Special
Choose a chandelier, with a fader switch, to enhance the pleasurable feel of the master bathroom. The fader switch provides bright light when needed. Then turn the switch down, at the end of the day, to create a relaxing ambiance.
Thick, velvety towels and area rugs create a spa like feeling. Even on a budget, investing in quality bathroom linens pays off by adding to the restful experience.
Then remember to stock-up on enticing finishing touches. Scented candles, soaps, bath oils, and fresh flowers enhance the overall atmosphere.
A luxurious and sensuous master bathroom is more obtainable and affordable than ever before. Whether the space is large or small, creating a spectacular retreat is well worth the effort. Incorporating all – as just one of two – of these master bathroom ideas is sure to turn an ordinary room into that special relaxing retreat.
One of my favorite master bathroom ideas is also one of the cheapest, too. A bathtub caddy. Yup, that simple little device that holds soaps and sponges is my idea of indulgence. There’s nothing better than a long soak in the tub and a glass of wine to relax. When I was remodeling my bathroom, I was planning to install a clawfoot tub. I even had the tub (still do), but because of sizing, moving wall and other unthinkable things, my clawfoot tub idea had to be scrapped. I was disappointed not only to lose the tub, but I was sure whatever I ended up with would never accommodate the bathtub caddy I was also coveting. Fortunately, I found a replacement (a Kohler Memories tub that’s deep enough for soaking and has that vintage look) and I got my caddy, although, it’s not as nice as this aromatherapy bathtub caddy from Amazon. See the candle and wine glass holders. Pure indulgence. Now that’s a master bathroom idea to keep! Aromatherapy Bathtub Caddy
